Hi…I am Stella Mazza, creative director, artisan, and founder of KAT + GIO. I am passionate about my craft, obsess over details, and adore pretty possessions. Being a creative designer and entrepreneur since the age of twenty, with my first company in 1984 Stella's Bridal, I am proud to have achieved various accolades including 2007 and 2008 awards garnered for my designs in two separate Swarovski Crystallized Elements competitions in Arizona and New York winning 5th and 3rd place respectively out of 300 worldwide applicants.
Always wanting to make a creative statement and loving the entrepreneurial life, I explored many mediums, including Swarovski jewellery and French beaded bouquets.
Always eager to prove my “sky’s the limit philosophy” I opted to take on an even more ambitious project. I recreated the wedding bouquet the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton carried on her wedding day using handmade French beaded flowers and submitted it as a keepsake offering. In 2011, I excitedly received a royal seal of approval of the highest order when my handcrafted bouquet of French beaded art replicating that carried by the Duchess of Cambridge on her wedding day, was accepted as a tribute gift to the royal couple.
Now with KAT & GIO, I am once again pushing the boundaries and innovating fresh ideas in the ancient art of candle making, being the first to launch the original crystal gemstone candle in 2017, which can only be created by our innovative two-pour process. Although others have since joined the trend, I'm proud to be the pioneer of this unique candle-burning experience and am especially happy you are on this journey with me.

ORGANIC WOOD WICK creates a unique candle-burning experience with clean burning and soft crackling ambiance. These superior, all-natural wicks are made from native, sappy fruit trees and sourced from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified mills and manufactured with pride and great skill in the USA. With an international patent technology, these natural wicks are nontoxic and eco-friendly.
PURE ESSENTIAL OILS are the fragrant essence of a plant and have been prized for centuries for their natural healing, and invigorating properties. Unlike the chemical produced fragrance scents used in most candles, these highly concentrated liquid oils are the foundation of aromatherapy, which is based on the idea that the aromatic oil from a plant has healing properties. CLEAN PALM WAX is an environmentally friendly product since it comes from a sustainable and renewable source and it burns cleanly. It is a container wax that mimics the look of marble and becomes translucent during burning, resulting in a glowing effect. Our palm wax materials come from a RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) member source. They do not contain any GMO material. All candles are hand poured in small batches with the melted wax heated to its perfect degree melting point
